Two Degree Options
Both of our degree options are intended for the entry level midwifery student and are three years in length (11 quarters). Completion of either degree option qualifies a graduate to sit for an examination to become licensed as a midwife in Washington or other states and to become nationally certified by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).
Combined Bachelor/ Master of Science in Midwifery (BS/MSM)
Students who have completed at least two years at the undergraduate level (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) have the opportunity to earn their bachelor’s degree in combination with a Master of Science in Midwifery. Before starting the program, applicants must complete the basic science and proficiency prerequisites as well as general education requirements. Students in this option start the program as an undergraduate, and after a certain number of credits, are considered a graduate level student. The bachelor’s degree is awarded at the time of graduation from the master’s program.
Master of Science in Midwifery (MSM)
This option is available to students who already hold a bachelor’s degree and who complete our prerequisites before they enter the program.
