Here are some important points to remember when applying to the midwifery program this year:

• The new application deadline is March 1, 2010 for the fall 2010 quarter.


• You will be applying to the certificate program at Seattle Midwifery School.


• The prerequisites for our program are listed in the application according to your educational background (either you already have a bachelor’s or you do NOT yet have a bachelor’s- make sure you fill out the right list).


• Prerequisites don’t need to be complete when you apply, but you do need to have a plan to complete them by the end of August, before you start classes.


• Your application, letters of recommendation and official transcripts should be sent to Seattle Midwifery School directly. If you have sent any transcripts or forms to Bastyr University, please let me know and I will ask them to forward these to me.


• Please fill out all forms completely.


• You will be notified when we have final approval and merge with Bastyr University.


• If you plan on applying for financial aid, do your taxes and fill out the online FAFSA as soon as you can! www.fafsa.ed.gov Please list both Seattle Midwifery School (033616) AND Bastyr University (016059).
